It already is. Greys has more life in it and is not as stale as ER. Greys is ER’s successor. It’s characters have problems and situations which lots of people watching can relate to.

It also made Snow Patrol have a worldwide hit with “Chasing Cars”. I haven’t seen ER do that as far as I know.
